Juniper Ex2200 Firmware Update How To Get
EX Series devices are delivered with pre-installed Junos operating system (Junos OS). Before you start this procedure, decide which software package you need and download it. Console into the Juniper device and enter shell as root by typing start shell user root and enter the admin password for the Switch. Mount the USB device by typing the command mountmsdosfs /dev/da1s1.
Custom firmware (UEFI and ULPMC) updates are available for the Mesa 2. For details regarding changes in each version, see the lists at the end of this article.
In some cases, the firmware update process can appear to fail. Simply perform a restart and try again. In the unlikely event that the device is unable to restart due to a failed or partial firmware update, service may be required at a certified repair center.
UEFI
WARNING: If you are using a different brand unit, please contact that brand provider for the UEFI installer. This UEFI installer is for the Mesa 2 brand only.
To install,
- Click on the file below to download to the Mesa 2
- Attach a wall charger.
- Execute the file.
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
To verify installation was completed successfully,
- Select Start > Device Info.
- Check BIOS Version BYT.5.04.42.0052-026 is present.
ULPMC
For this update to run fully automated, UEFI version 25 or higher must be installed first.

To install,
- Click on the above file to download to the Mesa 2.
- Attach a wall charger.
- Execute the file.
To verify the installation was completed successfully,
- Select Start > Device Info.
- Check ULPMC version 23 is present.
Changes
UEFI changes:
- Version 26 - Changed I2C and SPI devices such that Windows Update or Device Manager won’t pull down a null driver for these devices. This has previously caused problems, most notably the touchscreen would stop working.
- Version 25 - Adds support for field updates to the ULPMC. Also adds support for an alternative display for potential use on future units in production.
- Version 24 - Adds support for hardware changes on new units in production, such as the alternative expansion Bluegiga WT41u module. Also adds support for generic OS branding.
- Version 22 - Resolves a fairly uncommon potential cause to issues with the touchscreen.
- Version 21 - Adds support for the optional Android 5.1 AOSP operating system, as well as a camera change on new units in production.
- Version 20 - Provides better support for camera auto-focus (when installed along with OS 17032 or higher) and support for more USB flash drives (specifically secure encrypted models such as from Kanguru).
ULPMC changes:
- Version 23 - Adds support for alternative battery cells to be used in future battery packs due to pending end of production of current cells. ULPMC can now be installed by end users using utility. Incorporates all previous changes.
- Version 17 - View the previous support news article. Required installation at a certified repair center, similar to all previous versions.
- Version 14 - Made I2C communication between Atom and ULPMC more robust. Fixed uncommon issues with the red charging/power LED.
- Version 12 - Fixed known issues that could prevent battery charge cycles. Finished implementing cellular SAR control detection. Made full battery disconnect command more robust.
- Version 11 - Initial release.

Juniper Ex2200 Firmware Update How To Use
WARNING: The installer below is for Mesa 3 Windows model units and some OEM brand models that do not have pre-installed firmware customizations. If a different brand appears during boot on the unit, please contact that brand partner to obtain the custom firmware update. Apowermirror crackeado pc. Also, you must follow the instructions below exactly as written. Failure to follow these steps could result in the unit needing to be shipped to a certified repair center for servicing.
Installation instructions:
- Attach a stable external power source (such as the 30W wall charger that was provided with the unit).
- Download and copy the above M3Updater_UEFI_135_EC_116.exe file to the Mesa 3 Windows unit.
- Remove any external storage device (USB media) that you may have attached to the Mesa 3 or dock.
- Save and close any open files and running programs. Backup any critical data from the Mesa 3 before proceeding as a precaution.
- Run the M3Updater_UEFI_135_EC_116.exe file on the Mesa 3. When a black terminal (command prompt) window appears, you may need to press the Return keypad button or an on-screen keyboard button to continue.
- Wait while the app starts the update process which might involve multiple Restarts (or reboots). After each Restart the update app will be automatically launched.
Note: If you have a pin or password set up, you may need to enter it after each Restart and wait 10-15 seconds to continue. - It should take up to 20 minutes to update the firmware from an earlier version. When the app stops performing updates, follow the on-screen prompts.
- Verify that the firmware has been updated successfully by tapping on the Windows (Start) button > Device Info to check that the BIOS Version (UEFI) is now 1.35 as well as the Embedded Controller (EC) version is now 1.16 in that window.
